in which you can start a 3d Models, and not mods/ as in Modification.

I'm going to assume you are talking about the direct relation to models and Renegade, not models and any other game. And I think it's fair to say this community is very aware of Renegades W3D engine.

We don't have 2d in a 3d environment. Admittedly most things release here are textures, they're textures on a 3d model. No matter how many models you have, they've got to have a 2d texture. Maybe with bump mapping, but needless to say; still 2D.

Also a lot of the models in Renegade cannot be replaced, at least for online usage. You'll receive a version mismatch error. This information is not news Model replacements have been publicly released for Renegade for quite some time. I'm not meaning to burst your bubble, but take a look around here; a lot of models are released. Unless I'm missing your point here, in which case I aplogise.
