"Converting" pictures to Loading and Game Menus

Hey guys, i would like to know how can i convert one of these 4 images into Loading or Game Menus.

for loading screen i think you need to divide that images in 4 pieces and then past it as a layer over the correspondent dds file, you can know the dds names by downloading a finished one, and for menu background i thnk it is only 1 file so do the same in order to know the dds name. or you can pm sla.ro, he as released some latelly.
